Common questions

Can I avoid surgery?
Many grade 1 and 2 cases improve without it. Advanced or thrombosed piles are referred to a surgeon.
Is bleeding always piles?
No. Persistent bleeding needs examination to rule out other causes — this is done at the first visit.
What changes help most?
Fibre, water and not straining. These are as important as the medicine.
